I read about this lady and her husband that had credit scores of about 500 each and they went out and got credit cards and would pay them off as soon as they used them and their scores increased 100 pts after 4 months of doing this. Can someone actually do that? And what are some ways to fix your credit score?

I went to the mortgage company today, and found out that my credit has gone down 100 points in 6 months because of a charge from my college, that I was not even aware of. I was never notified I owed anything to anyone. Is there a way that the 100 points can be put back on my credit if I get this taken care of? I went from having a score of high credit score to a very “bruised” credit score. What can I do?
