Credit Score-Free Credit Score

We have a few credit cards walmart, macy’s and paypal.. we have notice that our credit limit has been decreased because our credit score has taken a hit lately. I wasn’t aware that they could recheck our credit score without our permission or signature… doesn’t it affect my score too every time some runs a credit check on us?

If “shopping” queries for car loans within a two-week period of time are assessed as only one hit, how do I know the credit reporting companies are adding up my hits correctly? Isn’t possible that errors are being made? How do I count up my own hits and know how my credit score is determined? Thank you!
